Welcome ABC Staff! Join us on Monday, April 25th, from 3-6 PM, as the ABC Information and Technology Department, (ABCFT) ABC Federation of Teachers, and (CSEA) ABC's California School Employee's Association presents our District's First Annual ABC Technology Symposium. The event is open to all ABC staff with an interest in instructional technology. It's a free event, with voluntary attendance, that features short tech sessions presented by ABC's own teachers and classified staff that combined provide everyone with over 25 technology sessions from which to choose.
Dr. Mary Sieu, our wonderful Superintendent, will join ABCFT President Ray Gaer, and CSEA President Rebecca Michel-Macias to welcome everyone to the beautiful Whitney Mac Center and Auditorium. Google's own K-12 guru Angela Larkin will provide the brief Keynote speech! Two short technology periods will follow, each offering a wide variety of exciting technology session choices for participants to attend. Plus, there will be lots of good food provided by ABC's Nutrition Services! Their BBQ's stations will fired up to serve sliders and tacos for everyone to enjoy throughout the event.
We've chosen a fun theme inspired by The Twilight Zone! We've re-branded the iconic show just for our day as The Technology Zone... Beyond the Limits. Why not, it fits! What's happening in today's ABC classrooms is beyond the imagination of what we once thought was possible!
If you're a tech-newbie looking for where to start, or a tech-pro looking for the next best thing, or maybe one looking for inspiration, come join us after school on April 25th at Whitney High School. Come learn how to take your classrooms beyond the limits, into a place we call... The Technology Zone. |
